Delhi University releases first admission list on 1st August

The Delhi University published the initial merit allocation list of 7,042 students for undergraduate course admissions on 1st August 23. The list contains the names of 85,853 applicants who passed the CUET UG 2023 exam. The positions on the merit list were used to determine the seats, and candidates must accept their seats by August 4. All programmes in all colleges have had their allocations made, with the exception of those whose eligibility requirements call for performance or practical exams.
The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) – UG-2023 is being used to allocate seats for undergraduate degrees.

Earmarked colleges will compare the applicants’ applications to the colleges assigned. Applications will be processed by colleges by 5th August .

The applicants who are given a seat in the first round must finish the admissions requirements by the deadline. Only applicants who have completed the admissions procedure, including payment of fees, will have the option to “Upgrade” to the second round, according to the institution.

According to a statement from DU, 202,416 qualified applicants were given consideration for placement in the first round based on their preferred programme and college pairings.

In the list, seats have been assigned to 7,042 students based on their initial preferences, and seats have been assigned to nearly 22,000 candidates based on their first five favourite choices.

On August 10, the second list will be made public.

The initial list will be available on the university’s admissions website, admission.uod.ac.in. Candidates must log in with their registered credentials to their dashboards in order to view their names on the list.
Candidates have until 5 p.m. on 6 August 2023, to pay in relation to the initial merit list.

Delhi University has released the list of vacant seats for the second round of Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for undergraduate admissions 2023. The list is available on the DU website, du.ac.in.

There are a total of 21,268 vacant seats in various undergraduate programmes at DU. The highest number of vacant seats are in B.Com (Hons.), with 5,314 seats, followed by B.A. (Hons.) Economics, with 4,173 seats. Other programmes with a large number of vacant seats include B.A. (Hons.) English, B.A. (Hons.) Political Science, B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science, and B.Com.

Students who have applied for DU but have not been allotted a seat in the first round can now check the list of vacant seats and apply for their preferred programme and college. The window for re-ordering preferences for CSAS (UG) Round 2 will be open till August 8, 2023. The CSAS Round 2 Allocation List for UG admissions will be released on August 10, 2023.
