The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the counselling schedule for NEET UG 2023. The counselling will be conducted in four rounds, starting from July 20, 2023.
The first two rounds will be conducted by the MCC for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The third round, called the Mop-up round, will be conducted by the MCC for the AIQ seats that have not been filled in the first two rounds. The fourth round, called the Stray Vacancy round, will be conducted by the state governments for the state quota seats that have not been filled in the first three rounds.
The counselling schedule is as follows:
Round 1
- Registration: July 20-25, 2023
- Choice filling: July 22-26, 2023
- Allotment of seats: July 29, 2023
Round 2
- Registration: August 1-5, 2023
- Choice filling: August 7-11, 2023
- Allotment of seats: August 15, 2023
Mop-up round
- Registration: August 17-21, 2023
- Choice filling: August 23-27, 2023
- Allotment of seats: August 31, 2023
Stray Vacancy round
- Registration: September 3-7, 2023
- Choice filling: September 9-13, 2023
- Allotment of seats: September 17, 2023
The counselling will be conducted online. The candidates will need to register for the counselling on the MCC website. They will also need to fill their choices of colleges and courses. The seat allotment will be done on the basis of the merit list and the choices filled by the candidates.
